Hi, I’m Isobel,

I’d love to see how I could help.
1:1 fertility awareness tuition
An intimate portal to confidence, clarity and second nature cycle charting for contraception, conception or menstrual health.
IN SEASON CYCLES
10 week group cycle literacy & FAM course, online, for the fearless woman ready to reclaim her reproductive health, track her fertility with confidence & make decisions from body autonomy.
FAM is an incredibly useful tool when navigating diagnosis and correct care for a suspected cycle condition.
Do you suspect your cycle symptoms are flagging something serious? Do you want to understand if your pain, irregular bleeding or PMS symptoms could be pointing to an underlying condition?
I created this free guide to clarify what’s ‘normal’ and what might not be, and arm you with language if you choose to refer to a medical professional.
What people are saying
Isobel’s coaching was life changing. I’ve confidently been using FAM for the past 6 months and won’t be going back to my previous birth control method. Izzy’s coaching approach is clear, empowering, and knowledgeable. I can’t have asked for a better introduction to FAM. - Yelena
“This work is so important and I can't wait to keep telling anyone that will listen all about it.” - Natasha
“I am truly blown away with how my body as well as my mind has responded to learning fertility awareness with 1:1 support from Isobel. My body has quite literally regulated itself in response to in-depth cycling charting and a dedicated fertility awareness practice and learning. Based on extensive experience, training and research, I teach a comprehensive and adaptable sympto-thermal method of fertility awareness most similar to the Justisse Method. The biomarkers we focus on are Cervical Mucus & Basal Body Temp, with Cervical Position & Luteinising Hormone as optional secondary signs.

The famous 99.4% efficacy quote we often hear is based on a 2007 study published in Human Reproduction. This statistic is based on a cohort of 900 women in use of a sympto-thermal method with an additional Calendar Rule applied to open the fertile phase. This is the basis of the tuition I provide. However, efficacy is user dependant, meaning failure of the method is due to misuse of the method, rather than the method itself. No method of birth control is 100% effective, not even sterilisation.

When you are on hormonal contraception (including non-hormonal IUD) ovulation is either shut down completely or partially. Your charts therefore, will show very little and you won’t be able to apply your learning until you come off. However, learning FAM before you start ovulating again will give you a valuable head start. Short answer: No, but do take the leap and come off as quickly as you can.

Yes. There is no need for “perfect” cycles. Plus, FAM is an important tool on a cycle healing journey.
Many actually find that the application of a calm focused tracking practice when things feel chaotic and messy, helps cycles regulate faster. In my experience, this act can signal safety to the mind and body and eliminates the stress and confusion that can exacerbate hormonal imbalances.
